The Quilt Artist
My name is Claudia and I have been quilting for 30 years.
Introduced to quilting by my grandmother, I was moved to start
making Celebration and Memorial Quilts several years ago. In
Gallery, you can see some of my completed works. I have
presented these Celebration Quilts to new parents, graduates,
newly wedded couples, family members and even those that
grieve. Whatever the occasion, these quilts have particular
meaning and the recipients have confirmed that Celebration
Quilts convey a profound feeling, Heart to Heart.
My passion is to design and construct beautiful heirloom quilts
that celebrate life and life's gifts. My desire is that these quilts
may bring comfort, honor and love to those who receive them,
whether they are in celebration of new life, a life event, or a
memorial of a life lost.
These are works of art and depending on the size,
complexity of the project and the amount of hand stitching, some
quilts will take longer to make than others. Small simple
machine stitched projects can be completed in 2 - 3 weeks.
More elaborate hand stitched items may take 2 - 3 months.
Therefore, if you have an interest, contact me now.
Cost also depends on the complexity of the project and how
quickly you want it delivered. These quilts can be completely
hand stitched, completely machine stitched or a combination
(more about that on the Services Page). Regardless, each quilt
is lovingly, carefully constructed of high quality fabrics, threads
and batting. It will be my privilege to discuss your project with
you and furnish an estimate for completion.
