An Art Quilt Gift personalized and cuddly
This custom made quilt is made in the nine patch pattern with a figure of
Eeyore, from the Disney tales of Winnie the Pooh, appliquéed upon it.
The colors and theme were selected to blend with the nursery of baby
girl for whom it was made. At the client's request (her grandfather), the
quilt was made so that it could be a keepsake and would also be
suitable for the baby to wrap up in or play with it.
Since one of Eeyore's favorite things is being remembered on his
birthday, embroidery on the front of this quilt assures the child that he
and her grandparents will always remember her birthday.
One of the highlights of this quilt is the wonderful texture of some of the
fabrics used. Smooth and fuzzy fleece, minky and soft cottons make this
a quilt that is cuddly and soft. The baby's name and birth date are
embroidered on the surface and white eyelet lace is sewn around the
inside of the outer border.
The focus of the quilt is Eeyore, stuffed and appliquéed onto the quilt,
with details embroidered and quilted in. At 39 inches square, this quilt is
pieced, appliqué ed, embroidered and quilted by machine. The back,
shown below, is cuddly fleece in the Winnie the Pooh motif. See other
