Night, Night, Sleep Tight
This traditional 9-patch quilt was given as a gift to a new
great-granddaughter upon her birth. The bright cheery sherbet
colors of lemon yellow, berry blue, lime green, peach and grape on
a background of crisp white were just the perfect complement to the
new nursery.
The newborn's name and birth date were embroidered on a label
placed top center. In each corner of the interior of the quilt are
appliqués of "sleepy" animal figures that add a sweetness and
touch of whimsy.
This quilt was machine pieced, embroidered and quilted. The
appliqués were added by hand stitching. Size is 39 inches square.
