Just a little quilt trivia.............

Writing about the history of quilt making is almost as daunting a task as writing the history of planet
earth. First of all, it probably dates back to ancient man and secondly, like much of history,
everyone doesn't agree on what the truth actually is. Since textiles decay over time, there is not
much actual evidence of ancient needlework. Our endeavor here is to give just an overview of
some of the interesting facts that we've uncovered through the years.

My heritage is in the deep South where patchwork quilting has been an integral part of life for
centuries. I have expounded on Depression Era quilts, where it has been my pleasure to feature
